Our Asbestos Removal Process

Al Mrooj is a DM-licensed asbestos abatement contractor. Our process follows UAE Ministry of Climate Change and Environment protocols.

Phase 1: Asbestos Survey & Sampling. A licensed asbestos surveyor inspects the property and collects bulk samples from suspected materials. Samples are sent to a UAE-accredited laboratory for polarized light microscopy analysis.

Phase 2: Method Statement & Risk Assessment. If asbestos is confirmed, we prepare a detailed removal method statement including containment design, negative air pressure requirements, worker PPE specifications, and disposal routing.

Phase 3: Containment & Removal. The work area is sealed with polyethylene sheeting and maintained under negative air pressure using HEPA filtration units. Licensed removal technicians in full respirators and disposable suits extract the asbestos under wet conditions to suppress fiber release.

Phase 4: Air Quality Testing & Clearance. After removal, an independent UKAS-accredited laboratory conducts air monitoring. Once fiber counts fall below 0.01 fibers per milliliter, we issue a clearance certificate and proceed with structural demolition.

Our asbestos removal fleet includes HEPA negative air pressure units, Type H vacuum cleaners, wet suppression spray systems, personal air monitoring pumps, and sealed waste transport containers.
